Cleaning the Garage

No one knows quite how, but when you put two items in a garage they just seem to multiply like rabbits! For most people cleaning the garage is an onerous task. Here are some efficient tips for cleaning out your garage so you'll actually have the space to park your car.

* Gather all items you're not using and have a garage sale, donate the items to charity or take them to the dump.
* Dust the walls and corners; get rid of the spider webs.
* Hang heavy-duty wall hooks for larger items that are taking up floor space.
* Get boxes and other items off the garage floor and into cabinets or shelves.
* Clean the floor-be sure to wipe up any oil drips.

Making your garage clutter-free and clean will allow you to have useful storage and workshop space. And while it's true that a garage usually won't make or break a home sale, when you do decide to sell your home a clean, well-maintained garage may be the tiebreaker. It adds to the overall impression of a well-cared-for home.
